Return hearing for Lizzie’s injunction. First, the judge asks whether the order has been served on Lizzie, making it an active order and meaning she’s aware the order exists. We can confidently answer yes to this question, because she was arrested a couple of days ago and served a copy of the order in her police cell. She had been beating up another relative in the middle of the street for some unspecified reason that, based on what her conversations were usually like, was probably some disagreement on who was actually a cunt, and why.

The judge asks a second, perfectly reasonable question, ‘Where is she now?’, the answer to which is, ‘In prison.’ The previously mentioned assault constituted a breach of previously agreed bail conditions of which we were unaware, so she was recalled to prison to serve the rest of her sentence.

Arranging to have a prisoner appear in court is difficult at the best of times, but when there is little or no notice to arrange a prisoner escort, it’s more or less impossible. While the court likes to see defendants make an effort to appear in court when they’re required, they don’t expect them to organise an escape from prison, so the hearing is adjourned again for after Lizzie’s release date.
